The Plein Air event is an effort to introduce the beautiful and historic land and facility of Farmstead Arts, which is nestled along a bend in the Passaic River, in a creative format to artists. It will run simultaneously to our Grand Opening programming thus insuring the participating artists a fluctuating and on-going audience. It is a free event because we can not provide a show for the artists resulting work at this time. The current intention is to provide a show in early spring 2011 once other Farmstead commitments have been met. The Plein Air particulars are:

~You need to pre-register with the point person, Hilary Klimek as space is limited.

~The event will be held Sun & Sat 10 – 5; we’d like the artists to be set up and working by 10 as our Grand Opening guests will be arriving at that time and parking will be an issue.

~We can not allow tents or tables at your chosen location. An extra chair &/or umbrella to aid in your comfort is permitted.

~You can bring 3 finished pieces that can be displayed and sold at your chosen location while working on the land. We are asking participating artists to abide by the honor system of providing us with 10% of the revenue generated from sales during this event before leaving the grounds on the final day.

~Anticipate doing your materials clean-up off-site. We will not be able to provide a working sink during this event.

Questions and registration will be handled by email. Contact the point person, Hilary Klimek at
