Mission
The Friends of the Kennedy Martin Stelle Farmstead, doing business under the trade name “Farmstead Arts” has a mission to preserve and operate the Farmstead as Farmstead Arts, a not-for-profit center for the fine, performing and practical arts.
The Friends of the KMS Farmstead board of trustees, volunteers and members currently help preserve the KMS Farmstead buildings as well as operate, and organize Farmstead Arts Center activities.
Our goal is to build community through the arts and to make Farmstead Arts Center a major force in the Central New Jersey arts community. Farmstead Arts Center is unique in several ways. Most notably, it is housed in an historic property that is listed on the National and NJ Registers of Historic Places, with a beautiful 1700’s English Barn and Farm House, as well as several other auxiliary buildings that are being restored and adaptively repurposed as an arts center.
