Studio Descriptions: Affordable studios available in restored 1760’s farmhouse located in 40 acres of bucolic parkland. The Arts Center is a growing artist community, conveniently located near Route 78 in Basking Ridge.
This is a private work-only space, good for artists, weavers, photographers, sculptors, poets, writers, musicians, graphic designers, crafters, and general office. Studio uses include art production and private instruction. Exhibition opportunities are available in the first-floor gallery. Each studio is on the second floor with four other studios. 24 hr. access, good light, free storage closets, slop sink, shared use of two renovated bathrooms and kitchen.
3 month and yearly leases are available. Lease includes heat/AC, wireless internet, slop sink, security system, parking. No oil paints, or open flames. Shorter leases, studio-share and temporary use is negotiable.
First floor is used for art gallery, with regular exhibitions, classes, and monthly concerts. Nearby restaurants, grocery store and more.
(Occupied) The spacious Northeast studio is 12’8” x 15’4” corner room with 3 windows, one is a dormer. With generous light, it also has a full river view. This room could be shared. Storage closet, wide-planked floors. Closet is 55” x 34”.
(Occupied) The charming Southeast studio is a 13’3” x 12’ 4” corner room, with 3 windows, one of which is a dormer. A wall of art display shelves, 7’ ceiling. Full river view, great light. One closet, wide-planked floors. Closet 34” x 77” (deep).
(Available) The Southwest Studio is 11’ deep by 10’4” wide with 7’3’ ceiling, wide-plank floors. Noted for its large storage area: 4’2” deep, 10’4” wide. Through the window is an excellent view of 1760’s restored English barn, and antique Cow Barn.
(Occupied) With full southern exposure, and plenty of light, the South Studio of 12’ 6” x 14’ 7” and 8’ ceilings offers spacious working area for a committed artist. From the two windows is a view of the river, lawn and woods. One closet, wide-planked floors. Closet 32” deep x 54”
(Occupied) The North Studio with two windows is 12’ 10” by 9’ 8” with an 8’ ceiling, wide-plank floors. Included is a Walker Hanging System and two storage closets. View of the river, and antique-farm Wagon House. (closets 22” x 46” and 25” x 51” (shelves on each side)
